Can someone tell me where this hose ends?
 

I've been chasing down a leak in the intake system in my 3.0 '01 X5.

The smaller hose fitting on the Y Boot of the MAF goes from the boot to the left side of the car, then goes straight down the side and into some "space" in the car. I can barely fit a few fingers into that space, but I can feel the tube make a bend and then from there I dont know.

The hose is jiggling easily as if the other end has come disconnected. Can someone tell me where the hell this hose ends up? Here's a pic

i had to replace this as well, it connects to an air line for mixture control. I will take a pic for you. but watch out the DSC actuator valve may be going bad as well. Its that black box the size of a pack of cigs right above that same hose. it cost me 400 to fix/replace after they told me.

bill its some kind of vaccum hose. i have pointed to the hose line that connects to that fitted air hose.
