Hi,

I just bought a pre facelift (sept '03) X5 3.0d sport and I don't believe they have the dreaded swirl flaps fitted:

It doesn't mention "Intake manifold system-agr with flap control" only "Intake manifold system-agr"

If you choose something like a 530d of a similar era you will see the 'with flap control option'
