Trouble with onboard computer indicator lights on my E53
Hi guys, I own a 2001 X5 4.4 (E53 I believe?). The issue is that the indicator lights on the onboard computer screen went out. I can see the readings when I shine a bright light on it or when sun light hits at an angle, but I cannot see them driving at night or at a quick glance during day driving. This is the part of the screen that indicates low coolant level, brake light warnings, low wiper washer level, average fuel consumption, etc.
Are these lights DIY replaceable or expensive to get fixed? How could I go about fixing same? Don't want to get my wallet slain at the dealer!:wow: Any input or ideas will be really appreciated. Regards Ed :dunno: |
Are you talking about the pixel display strip just under the speedo and tacho ? Or is this over in the centre console, where the radio controls are ?
