some questions about my X
 

Tried to open my hood but it unlatches on the right side facing the car but the left side is releasing or its jammed. I tried many times but it seems not to open.
Any ideas on what could be stuck? can i do a manual release?

Also I've been noticing slight whine noise from the rear end, sounds like the fuel pump. Gets worse when the X is almost empty of fuel, is this normal?

Lastly, the above whine is a bit goes together with extreme slight vibration throughout the car, feel it the most during a red light but in gear. In Park its not that noticeable.

My X is an 06 4.4i
