2005 X5 hard to start
 

I have a 2005 X5 3.0i. I have a hard time starting the car. It cranks for like 8 secs before it will start. After it starts it will be very rough until i give it a little gas. Sometimes it will start just fine. It's very random, but 80% of the time it won't start. Also, it will also generate an engine code. P304 and P0128. I've checked the plugs and coils and it's fine. Can anybody please help me?

Could be starter motor or battery. I have just replaced my starter motor very expensive ...

I've checked the battery and it's good, but if it was a starting problem, it wouldn't even crank at all, would it not?

Yes it will but very hard. After I change starter motor it starts immediately.
