Need suggestions on snow tires.
 

I am moving to Tijeras, NM near Albuquerque NM. I have some 18"s and some 20" tires and need suggestion on getting some new tires for the snow.

My 18s are Michelin MXV4 Plus 255/55R18
My 20s are Goodyear Eagle HP Ultra plus 295/40XR20 all the way around.

I wouldnt do too much hand wringing on the decision...any of the 18" snow tires shown on tire rack will be great ....pirelli scorpion ice and snow, dunlop grandtrek.
Had the grandtrek myself but have seen many good reviews of the pirellis.

I run the Hankook IceBear in the stock 255/55-18 size here in the upper midwest. They're a great snow tire for the money, and don't give much to the Dunlop M3's I run on my 528. The Dunlops are a bit better in the deep wet snow, but the Hankooks are better in hard pack snow and on wet or dry roads. In fact the Hankook snows were a lot quieter than the OE 19" Michelin Desmarais tires that came stock.

You can get the IceBears or the Dunlops from your local Discount Tire (headquartered out there in AZ) and they'll match any TireRack price.
