Thanks again!

I have this problem. What was the fix?

CEL with no vacuum leaks...

Smoke test done - no vaccum leaks. Can't rid of CEL. Code P1093. Anyone?

like i said in my previous post, check out all 02 sensors make sure their good, if your still getting the same codes its the catalytic converter....

what i did not mention in my previous posts was what the reason was that my catalytic converter failed... well here it is

a year before the cat went out, i had a buddy of mine do a tune up by replacing the spark plugs... one of the spark plugs was not tightened and it loosened up and started making a air leaking noise that came from the engine... i eventually had a mechanic diagnose and fix the problem, but by that time my cat needed to be replaced... i hope this helps, cuz this problem drove me nuts...

now remember i had all those codes together, i don't know if your just getting the P1093 code... good luck!

Thanks so much for your reply. I am not getting a code for the cat converter, but for sure I have put in four 02 sensors so far trying to clear the code. I also changed the elbow intake, the disa and the MAF sensor because I was getting a bunch of codes: P1092, P1091, P1093, P0171. The Stealer says if all else fails, I need a cat converter, but I am getting no code for it and like you, don't want to fork out that kind of money and the CEL is still lit.....

We used the code scanner repeatedly to rid the codes, but the P1093 code is continual still. The Dealer says there are no vacuum leaks, but they could have been lazy and missed it. Another dealer asked me to bring it there, but I don't want them to stick me with pins and then send me off with the code still there as the other two dealers did.
