obd2 scanners

Hi all

I quite like the idea of buying one of these scanners

How come they vary so much in price

i've seen some on fleabay for as little as £30

I'm looking to check and clear any faults on the obd2

The garage cleared an egr fault but there snap on machine was £3000

I want a easy to use scanner that will show and clear faults and also enable other features e.g aux heating, alarm bleeps etc

what are you guys using?

thanks in advance for any info received

I have an eBay bluetooth module. It will sync with your computer or smartphone and allow you to search codes and also reset them. It was worth the $30 I spent on it, but I wouldn't pay much more.

You can either get a common cheap dual K line cable and convert it to work with the bimmer, or get one of those cables saying "it work with INPA".

I know a lot of people on this board may look down on these, since it's true you get what you paid for. But I paid very little.

scanner

after reading other forums i've decided to go for a bmw scanner

This will enable me to read and erase error codes

also customise obc settings alarm, cl options, tv in motion etc etc
