I feel as if they look too shiney on the spokes.. when i ordered them i expected the face to be more dull.. What would you do to change them? is there an inexpensive way to dull them down without ruining them.. or any other ideas..

i'd like to keep the lip on them shiney

How about a light rub with scotch bright pads? Knocks the shine down just a bit yet keeps the clear intact.

I did that on a set of Audi wheels and it looked great. I mean heck, that is what "Brushed Aluminum" is in reality.

Just my .02. And that is all it is worth :)

Do a few "photoshops" with the inner spokes ,silver, grey and (white colour coded).
If you opt to paint them or even "dull" them ,by loosing the polished look, this will optically make the wheels look smaller. My 2 cents:)

what about vinyl? That way if you decide you want the shiny spokes back, you just peel it off.

Just drive for a day and the brake dust will dull them out pretty well. :D

1) Mask off lip
2) Paint spokes teal blue
3) ???
4) Profit!

I don't see any other alternative to painting. I guess vinyl will work but it seems like it would be a time consuming application process.

What is the wheel finish? Polished? Polished with clearcoat? Hyper-gloss paint?

Assuming they are polished with clear, I would not sand them down... it will probably not give you the brushed/silver look you are looking for. Also vinyl I'm guesing won't last long with the constant rotational forces/heat/wheel cleaner. Best solution is to have the centers painted - I'm sure any bodyshop could do it for you, or you could take it to a wheel specialty shop. I'd guess around $400 assuming the wheels need to straightening and they don't have to unmount the tires. Powercoating may be your best option but I will be slightly more expensive.

the front of the spokes are machine polished, and the sides of the spokes are gunmetal. I'm thinking of getting the centers powdercoated either silver or gunmetal. any thoughts?

 A bright silver, like BMW's Titanium Metallic will look great. Powercoating is the way to go, good choice!

sand lightly like Tim said or use a Dremel. ;)
