harsh frequency vibration during cornering.
Just upgraded front control arms & bushings to Powerflex. Had Dealer torque to specs & perform Alignment - which turned out great, BTW( I figure this takes three people & an O/H Hoist to accomplish).
So, while applying power into a turn, or deceleration I experience a rough frequency vibration from the LF tire, as if it is hopping up & down- the sweet spot with neutral drive train torque seems to respond with the least vibration. Go back & torque to spec w/o preloading the suspension?:dunno: Any ideas greatly appreciated. Thanks, SkidmarkX5 |
Don't torque the control arms without preload.
Problem sounds torque (driveline) related, but I assume while the techs were under, the cv and tripod joint boots were inspected. However, the conditions you describe are when the joints are working hard. Checking the condition of the Guibo's couldn't hurt, either. |
Hi....I have the same problem. After inspecting the front left thrust bush, I found it worn and quite loose. I could move the thrust rod by hand! I hope this helps..
