How hard is it exactly to remove the amber, and the highbeam lenses? Do they just "pop" out? We're planning on installing the Chromium's on Wednesday, and just want to know ahead of time how difficult it is to remove those pieces. Thanks everyone.

We advise against any DIY Angel Eyes. We have witnessed many times the consequences that peeople have faced with their X5's electrical system and headlight leakage issues, when attempting a DIY with these. We know, because they come back to us to help correct their problems.

Yes, we charge more money then a simple DIY, but the peace of mind is worth the extra penny in the long run.

It is IMHO that if you arent a professional be very careful.

Well, no need to worry, he has done about 2-3 installs on an X5, and about 7-8 installs on facelifted 3er's.

It has been my experience that they just pop out. I believe they are just clipped right in there.

As for advising against DIY, we offer a full 45 step guide and email technical support as well as a separate guide detailing how to take the headlight apart.
