that bmw wheel pin is crap and doesn't work.. it'll slip right out and not hold the heavy wheel there.

in a pinch, you can get the aluminum one from a porsche. i've been using the screw in pin from the boxster s and it fits perfect. its not as heavy duty as the one from the ultimate garage, but it works fine.

i'm sure you can go into any porsche parts department and get a wheel pin...

:iagree: Bought one of those pins for my e46 and it's not very effective. It fits too loose in the bolt hole to hold up the wheel.

weird....i bought 2 of the bmw wheel pins and they worked great when i had the x5 on jacks for t wo weeks and had to put my wheels back on...also worked great when we used it on the 330 when we changed the brakes...
