Most difficult repair

What's the most difficult repair you have done on your X5 (actually working on it yourself)?

Being from NJ, filling the gas is pretty tough.

Thats funny. My first trip to NJ awhile back visiting some friends we stopped to get gas. I homeless looking dude comes up to me and says he wants to pump my gas. I said no thanks. He says you have to let me pump the gas. I told this guy to get away from me or there was going to be issues.

Told my friends about this aggressive pan handler and they just laughed and told me in NJ you don't pump your own gas.

Most difficult repair? Mmmm so many. Installing a new alternator, which wasn't hard but time consuming. You have to remove the fan, belts, and of course the alternator. Then reinstall everything.

Also anything that requires removing the wheels. Fugging heavy with the 20".

valleypan gasket......or the front eibach swaybar. rear ball joints are a pain in the arse. exhaust manifold gaskets were a nightmare. alternator and water pump are 5 out of 10. tension strut bushings pressed out and re installed sucked

Worst I ever did was a body main harness for an insurance job. Every wire in the car was replaced what a nightmare

Rear subframe bushings...

For me it has been the left rear wheel bearing. This job has even made cylinder head (vanos) jobs look easy. I bought a second as if I would do the pair but then said forget it.
