Hood Not Shutting Properly
 

The Hood on my X5 Is not closing properly. Anyone else have this problem? HOw can I fix it?

Not a very common problem I think. What exactly is happening?

First step is to see if anything was left under there that is holding it up and preventing it from closing. It sounds silly, but a socket or extension bar left under the hood can cause this.

Second step is to lubricate the latch assembly. It can stick.

Third step is to align the latch, but that shouldn't be necessary unless something was done to change the alignment, ie accident repair recently.
