[Q] NAKAMICHI Cd Changer Replacement

So I bought the BMW with the NAKAMICHI 6 disc cd changer installed. It had a jam and now it doesnt work. I was wondering if any other cd changer would work as a "Plug and play" with the existing 16:3 nav and wiring harness? I dont want to buy another NAKAMICHI because it has a tendency to jam. I really miss being able to listen to cds.

BTW the NAKAMICHI was mounted in the Glove box if that helps in any way....

Thanks in advance

I saw that and I am definitely interested in installing that unit. My question is, what does the connector on the back look like? I dont know if my X has it. I know it installs near the Nav brain but I dont know what the connector looks like.. Does your connector look like the image attached? Thanks again for helping me. I'm tired of having only radio as my option and i do not want to loose the stock appearance...

Does yours only use two connections? (Fibre optic and the smaller port) or does yours use all three?
