Sirius Radio Install
 

I have a 2005 X5...I think it may be pre wired for satalite radio...However, I think it will still need the antenna and some other things installed...does anyone know what all is involved and how much $$ I'm looking at to do this.

The antenna is included with the install kit.

With a 2005, your X5 is "Sirius Ready" - which means that your radio module will interface with the BMW Sirius receiver. There are several Sirius references, including the BMW installation instructions on the home page (http://xoutpost.com) in the STEREO section - items 26-33.

can you still add this if you have the ipod adapter installed..I know I cant add a CD Changer.

I believe so...It will require an additional extension cable that runs from the sat receiver back to where the changer would be.

Yes, but you will need an adaptor cable that BMW can supply.

The install kits I have received from BMW did not include the antenna - this was additional.

The XM Direct system I installed included the antenna, all now for less than $200.

will xm integrate into the bmw radio stystem the same as sirius?
