Can you please post a couple more photos of your X with the Thule rail bars and box? I'm leaning heavily to the Thule cross bars over OEM as the ride height of the box seems much lower. My Thule dealer tells me this also, but your pics will set the record straight.

This might sound dumb lol but what do u put in there that u need that on top of your car everyday? If its not too personal of a question .. and not being rude either. Just was wondering?

Without stairs or a ladder, wouldn't it be difficult to get something from the Thule specially when you're out on vacation? Or I'm just too short hence my point of view?

thats what I do when I wash and dry the roof, and also for installing racks for skis. I have not put my box on the X5 yet - probably some day I will need to.
