Everstart Maxx (walmart) 94R exceeds BMW spec

I googled my way to the Everstart Customer Service number ( 1-888-387-8278 )for Walmart employees and decided to try my luck. I used my store number (2252) and pretended I had a customer who wanted the specs.

The 94R has a reserve capacity of 155 mins and amp hour rating of 85aH. Its a 950 CA and 850 CCA battery.

The stock BMW 94R battery is rated at 140 mins RC and 80aH with 720CC and 720CCA.

Also comes with a 3YR free replacement warranty.

I picked mine up for $82 + $9 core.

I just recently popped it in and it fit perfect. Had the vent tubes and all. Just had to punch the side I was using.

I purchase that battery one year ago today after a month and a half without using my X5 I had to call AAA to jump start the X5, when I had the original BMW battery never had that problem, when I ship the x5 from Germany it was 3 month sitting on between the ship and peer and start it without problem, I going back to the BMW battery

Its all about what you as the consumer feel comfortable with. If. I knew I was going to park it upfor a month and a half during the mid-atlantic winter, I would have probably sought out a more robust battery. The X is my daily driver so this won't be an issue for me.

Did you register the battery to the car? This might be why the battery went out. I have used the everstart maxx batteries but had to register the new battery with the car or else it will die out

If your going to let your x sit over a month at a time I would definitely use a battery maintainer. You'll kill any battery faster by letting it sit for long periods and discharge.

No such procedure is necessary for the E53 X5. E70's however require this.
