Great info in this thread. I'm still looking for my x. I'm trying to fins white, blue or silver in a 4.4 with tr cold weather package for less than $13k. In the mean time I'm enjoying this thread.

Suppose I ought to update my own thead then !

1) Sold the Dynavin and picked up a stock 4:3 head unit for a bargain £21 :D Also managed to get a BM24 radio module, as mine was missing. I can now listen to Radio 4 uninterrupted all the way to work in the morning. Much better !

2) Rear subframe bushes were bought & fitted, THREAD HERE.

3) Vibration was 80% cured by getting the front wheels balanced and the car was then smooth up to about 60mph. Last weekend I fitted Powerflex front bushes and that's got me to maybe 90%. There's still a slight wobble but it's bearable at legal speeds. Ball joints will be next. I couldn't feel any play in them but they moved freely which usually means they're well-used. FWIW I cut the old bushes out with a hacksaw and pressed the Powerflex ones in using some M10 studding, some wood and a couple of large sockets. Pretty easy really.

4) Tightened up the torx screws under the mirror hinge. Completely fixed the wobble :)

5) Second hand window switches seem to go for about £80 here but I can buy a brand new one from the dealer with 24 months' warranty for £99.50. Ebay is weird sometimes ! I've kinda go used to the flipped controls now so this has dropped down the priorities.

6) I've not looked at this yet but it's bugging me. Will probably DIY it.

7) Not done anything about the headlights.
