WD-40 also works for adhesive removal.

I was at a friend's ranch. I didn't have access to acetone. He did have WD40. It didn't work well. He had old goo be gone too. So old, it barely worked. We used a lot of paper towels. Good glass cleaner was used to remove finger prints and any residue left. I'm glad the RR limo tint didn't get scratched.

Next items for maintenance: Curt hitch install and rear wheel bearings!

I've been holding out for one. Or reasonably priced one I can go pick up. The Curt bolts similar to a stock one. The Curt doesn't have the two frame rail inserts. If I found two frame rail inserts, I could probably use them on the Curt mounting plate.

It's been pretty hot here in the UK and as my car had been in the sun all day I thought it would be a good idea to use the 'global' function on the key. Bad idea - one of the rear window regulators broke and the glass disappeared into the door.. I have to leave it at the airport in 24 hrs so I had to strip the door to wedge the glass up. Bit unpleasant in 30°c sunshine. New regulator on order.

Replaced a regulator yesterday. Two strips of gorilla tape on the outside vertical edges will hold the glass for a week or more while acquiring parts.

Got rid of the last CEL on the dash today by overriding the seat occupancy sensor with a sensor override part from Ebay. A few days ago I replaced the evap purge valve getting rid of the "check engine soon" light. Next, fluid change- transmission, diffs, and tc.

Update...

My "new to me" viscous fan clutch is the wrong one [emoji2357]apparently Ahmed didn't grasp the concept of how numbers work. I had everything apart and the delivery driver brought me a fan clutch for a 3.0d...

My fun meter broke completely since it was already over 114f.
