Oil change, oil filter housing gasket replacement, CCV replacement, and dipstick tube replacement. Busy day for the X5. Took me about four hours since it was my first ofhg/ccv replacement. Someone replaced it all in 2008 with a mix of cold weather and non cold weather pieces. I was also able to keep the ccv jacket on just by trimming down a few spots.

Would take me a lot longer to do all that... but I remove the intake to do the CCV so. |

Josh nice work, it took me about 4-5 hours as well, I didn't do the OFHG (how many miles on yours?) - Noticed my oil consumption basically go away after the CCV/dipstick tube job I did last June as well. (My parts were all original 2003 parts)
I'm sure you're glad to get the job done before the temps drop |
I still can't find a good solution to get my brake dust off my back rims btw, any suggestions for what has worked for you guys?
|
Are you talking about baked on brake dust? You may need a mild wheel acid
