X5 4.4I vs Jeep Commander Hemi
So, this guys pull by me at a stop light. Looks at me and asked me, Vanos vs Hemi? before i anwsered I had already deactivate DSC. Neck to neck the first 200 feet and i am still waiting for him to catch up !! He comes up to me at another stop light and asked me is that the new X5 M? i laughed my a... off and told him, you just got beat by a naturally aspirated 2004 4.4I!!! his, 2009 jeep commander with Hemi 5.7L. The look on his face was worth this posting!!! I bet he will look into selling that piece of junk!!

that's cool, man. any mods on your X?
|
Great, keep up the good work :) Worth the fun.
|
No mods. Just Stock. Looking at the Dinan exhaust System!!
|
i love it. but watch out for the hemi's with I/H/E upgrades. they breathe a hell hole of air. At that point we get the x5 50i
|
But still, for stock 4.4 to jump over 5.7l engine :) sounds good.
However If your'e talking about Realy High performance SUVs For example Supercharged Range Rover ML63AMG Cayenne turbo S SRT8. then we get our X5 M :) Realy not sure about SRT8 vs X5 M though. Still our cars run hot |

I have read many reviews about the new Jeep. All of them complained that the motor is "soft". I'll pass on a soft motor!

Well, not slow either, 500HP for facelifted onces.
|
i raced a Silverado SS down a main street on my 4.4 E53, he beat me literally by a bumper, after i smoked him a couple of times
made me laugh tho, huge engine barely outperforms a 4.4i |
I have beat A6 2.8Turbo Quattro. and also have raced with 4.3AMG CLK. from 60 and on. seems he is just on front of me until 170km/h. However I seem to go faster then him after. Makes me laugh that CLK is a coupe and compared to X5 SUV... :)
After all talk, I am happy with 4.4. even though It's not a top line Sports SUV It runs like a beast and puts a good smile on my face. However 4.6is lightens my face a bit more ) |
All I know is that I was very pleased with the way my X5 performed. It was fun to see the RPMs going up and feeling the pulling power even close to the redline. I am thinking on doing the Dinan exhaust. I really like the tail pipes on those. Any other sugestions??
