A tumpping sound by front wheels..

When i drive over a bump with the front wheels at the same time all is fine, but if i go over a bump first left front then right front or vise versa i hear like a tump sound, Does anyone know what can be causing that? Thanks in advance.

Could be any part of your front end suspension. You'll need to lift the front end and have a look.

Check the balljoints and bushes for ANY play on the following: Thrust arms (called 'tension strut' on realoem), sway bar links, and wishbones. These are the main culprits to knocking sounds at the front end when going over bumps, therefore the first place to start looking.

I would lean toward the sway bars links are worn and need replacing. But as the other guy said taking a look at the front end would show you whats worn and needs replacing.

I've had this. In my case it was my thrust rod/tension strut bushings. It's also commonly the sway bar end links.

I would second the sway bar links.

I took X5 to indy yesterday,They found very little play in bushings but nothing worth changing, maybe i'm being alittle picky, but i was able to get front passenger window regulator fixed,so not a bad day.

Now I'm scratching my head, yesterday the weather reached 46degs in long beach,i drove over lots of bumps and to my amazement heard very little if any thumping sounds, can it be something getting ice on the front end causing this then melting away in warmer weather? Is that possible?
