DEPO AEs MOD!!!!!
I just sent Mrbmwx5 a PM asking his opinion on an small alteration to the Depos ,but then I realized iy would be interesting to know everyones opinion on this ,because there are here quite a few members with these headlights.
I am in the process of fitting my European Depos yellow AEs, I bought a while ago because I sold my 2003 Oem headlights ,so now I really have to fit them. I would appreciate your opinion on what you think of the outside dipped beam light? I Like the Depos but never been sure of the covering around the dipped beam bulb. I have also sold quite a few of these and even one my clients made the same comment! http://img714.imageshack.us/img714/208/dipcover.th.jpg I find the OEM converted so much neater! What do you think of the "cover "painted black..as in my amateurish photoshop ?Is the look nearer the oem modded ? http://img827.imageshack.us/img827/8...voemmod.th.jpg I am going to have to open and reseal them anyway,so not much work to mod that cover? What do you guys think? My aim in any mod ,is to keep things as close to oem look as possible :) |

The spider cover looks like Johnny Fives (Short Circuit movie reference) eyes. Good call on the removal.

do these Depo's have to be baked to take them apart, or are the lens removable, like on 2001 3 series? (I love the simplicity of those lights)
