It was just some silver acrylic I had sitting in the garage. I'd originally bought it to give some old E36 wheels a quick tart-up last year.

I guess you can use anything you like really. Just spend plenty of time getting the surface prep right and don't lay the paint on too thick.

I'm tempted to change the silver trim in my X5 to gloss black now....
