Think I had them once on my e36 way, way back. Can't remember much about them. Have been using Axxis (also known as PBR) pads for a while now and have been very happy. Axxis XBG's to be exact. Would recommend them to anyone.

I have used several sets of Axxis Deluxe (I think they have changed up the name now). Very happy with them. I got mine from www.zeckhausenracing.com, a board sponsor.

EBC yellowstuff front and redstuff rear with original rotors. Drive them ~9 months now and they do a great job. My brakes are under great strain since I have to do 1600m (5.250 ft) height difference each week.

I put on Jurid pads almost a year ago. Very quite and stop like hell.

Just put Akebono pads on front along with replacing rotors. Takes a while to "bed them in." Noticed a softer pedal after installation. They stop great and the brake dust has been cut down significantly.

+1 on that. I replaced mine about 2,000 km ago and am happy with them. My X5 is only a winter daily driver so there's relatively low demands on braking and whatever brake dust it produces is totally obscured by the mud and c**p.
