Which battery charger do I need?

Hello, I am looking to purchase a battery charger for doing simple programming on my X, I read most of the post about battery charger but still can't seem to make a decision on which one to get, I have the yellow head and T30 with DIS 57 and SSS install, I use it for Diagnosing, reading and deleting fault code but need to do more.. any suggestions?

The BMW recommended power supply is a Deutronic DBL-800 (although I understand they're using DBL-1200 for F01 and above cars). You can purchase from Baumtools.com, but it's pretty pricey at about $1600 last quote I received from them.

I had been agonizing over which one to get, as I needed to do updates to my X5. The DME update alone took over an hour. Always did quick stuff with the E39 so never really needed it over the past few years using DIS and SSS.

I wound up buying a Midtronics PSC-550. It is a 55amp power supply. Be sure that whatever unit you get that it has a power supply maintaining function. This is critical for programming.

The "Midtronics PSC-550" is in the price range I am willing to spend, I don't want to do major programming, just basic stuff for now, maybe later on I will do some more advance stuff after I learn more about the process, thank you for you input.

I bought the Midtronics MIDPSC-550SKIT, after checking around I taught this was the best for that price, can't wait to get it and start doing some simple stuff

Check for any software updates for modules via SSS.
Quick ones are VTG, DSC. Longer are EGS and DME.
