Driver Side Mirror
 

I have to replace my driver side mirror motor. I just ordered the part today. I have no issues getting the door panel off(just did door carrier), or getting the mirror cover off. Havent removed mirror glass yet, but don't see an issue with that. My question is, the new motor, is it a plug in or will I have to solder wiring. My SA told me solder and heat shrink. Anyone have experience with this procedure? Degree of difficulty?

I'd say it'll be a solder job. The wiring loom for the mirror goes all the way from the mirror to the switches inside the door in one piece.

Difficulty rating - not very. Just make sure the joint is clean and shiny.

Perhaps you be better off buying a new full wire as well ?
