Stereo acting up anyone else

Before I take everything apart I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else? When I turn the car on the stereo plays fine for about 30 sec. after that the whole right side shuts off. Sub also. The only thing I have done to the stereo was add an aux port and pull the old subs out and add two bigger ones with an amp about three years ago. Everything has been working fine till now. I did a search and couldn't find anything so any help would be great.
Thanks
Ron

It might be worth asking this question on an AV forum, if you haven't already. This sounds quite specialised, particularly as the mods you have done MAY be playing a part in your problem.

Having said that you could put the system back to stock and see if it does it then. You would then be at least elliminating what you have added to the system which may be bringing it down. Then add your mods to it one by one if possible, and test it that way..

I may be wrong, but not many here have done mods to their X's (at least there is not much talk of it anyway..), as, personally speaking, I think the systems are good enough not to have to do any mods to..

Good luck-let us know how you get on, sorry to have not been any more helpful than that.
