cheap mod - crome rings
 

After seeing so many of you doing that chrome speedometer rings I also had to do it. Opening that thing is really a PITA. Used 4 hands, 3 screwdrivers and pliers .......

Really a cheap mod compared to good how it looks like.

UHG the wait sucks. What did yours attach with? Pretty simple to slide the cluster out, but not to pop the cover or install the rings?

o.l.t. Yours seem to be made out of plastic. I have ordered plastic ones before but they were so twisted - I had to return them and ordered these - made out of aluminium. Hope you do not have that problem. I had to put mine in and to bead them. Afterwards a drop of glue to the backside. All with white gloves - looked nice.

Should have bought them at DDM Tuning and the shipping would be much faster. They're on sale for $10 plus shipping.

Meh theres so many of them out there to choose from. I don't care as long as the fit properly. We'll see, but if these come deformed after a 3+ week wait they are getting an instant neg.

Make sure you select the correct model.

Those are plastic as well. Given the choice I'd buy the metal ones elsewhere I suppose. Less chance of heat warpage in the summer. I'll probably replace these with metal ones after this season goes by if I see any reason to.

I took a pic from the rings where you see how they arrived. I really needed some force to bend them straight and I could not imagine that this would work in the speedo. So I sent a mail with this picture to the seller and he agreed on returning them.
