Advice on suspension mod needed
At last the time has come for my X to replace front shocks (230k km mileage). My X has got a rear selflevel suspension and no Sport option. I'd like to install a set of aftermarket shocks as well as aftermarket springs to drop my ride. What are possible options? Or may be there are any complete sets for front and rear suspension? A piece of advice needed :dunno:

ditch the rear air suspension and get full springs front and rear b&g or go full coilovers made by kw. ecs tuning has eibach adjustable shock towers as well. but seriously, ditch the rear air if you want to go lower. the air ride sucks when lowered. took me two years to figure that one out

Rear air+ lowering springs doesn't work. The rear will get too bouncy, even with a 1.5" drop. If your keeping the rear air then you should do Oem height. I'm just trying to save u money and heartbreak. TRUST ME

im just saying that the 1.5 drop will lead to sloppy feeling in the rear. i wouldnt recommend h&R either. too soft.

http://www.hartgetuning.de/ Hargte offers springs that provide lowering approx. of 1 inch for the front axle and variable to the rear (can be adjusted with DIS). The thing is that my SAV has the "highest" susp. stock height possible (no sport susp. option). |
I just installed H&R springs and i have the air suspension it is a bit soft but is a great look and i have 22x9.5 all around its pretty good.
