What wheels are these?
I was looking for something else on eBay and saw this pic and hadn't seen these wheels...but like them. Had thought about going to 19's or 20's...

Style 168...BigFookinWheels&Tars.
However, I assume they are replicas, (not necessarily 'bad' in itself), based on the price. The seller is disingenuous saying that wheel set "fit any BMW X5 since 1999..." If those wheels have the E53 hub bore size, they would need to be bored out to 74mm to fit an E70; conversely, if they are E70 hub bore size, you will need hubcentric rings to make them work. THE WHEELS WOULD FIT ANY 5 LUG:

I just installed those style 168 wheels on my 2005 4.8. I bought from Speedvision Motorsports on E Bay for $850. set of 4 , delivered. ( Repro's of course ), but seem to be decent quality - installed and balanced OK. Guy I dealt with on line went out of his way to get them shipped quickly.

Not sure I want to pay to invest in 20" tires. The 18" all season I have are still good - have my winter snows on the OEM rims now.
I did find these and the seller said they would fit the 2004 E53 with the 72.56 bore (no adapters needed. 18" BMW M3 STYLE 325 328 330 335 M3 X5 X6 WHEELS RIMS - eBay (item 290542442088 end time Mar-16-11 22:37:56 PDT) M3 style...wonder what they'd look like on the E53 |
