Interior size of 2003 (E53) vs 2011 (F25)
 

Hello,

I am looking for the interior dimensions of the new 2011 X3 (F25) compared to my 2003 4.4 X5. I've read that the "new X3" is comparable to the "original X5".
But is that the 2000 X5?

I'm also quite skeptical about how BMW lists some of these specs and sometimes they include only below the window lines. What I like to do is take real world measurements - length, width, height to determine realistic cargo space.

As an example, BMW lists cargo space in the E39 touring to be larger than the X5. Well - I've owned both and the X5 has quite a bit more usable room for what I use it for.

As for interior space, E53 is wider than a X3, so has more spacious seating. Regardless of what the interior specs may say. Specs are one indication, but best bet to actually sit in one and see how it fits you and your family.
