01 X5 - Cant use CD change cable for aux in?

Is this true? I have received conflicting info from every store in town. Half say I can, half say I cant.

I have an 01 WITH DSP and no DVD or NAV.

Looking to install a Sirius unit.

There are AUX input kits from Blitzsage and Soundgate that should work in lieu of the CD changer.
