New wheels! 19"

I finally got my new 19" rims yesterday and had them put on today with new Bridgestone Dueler HP Sport tires. Staggered. Got the rims for $800 shipped. Some curbage on 1 but over all pretty nice.

REALLY changed the look of my X5. Kept my 18" with the snow tires for easy change over.

Good choice! Looks sharp.

Very nice, mD style!

i'm sure he will chime in and compliment you! it does really change the look, i used to have the same 18s as you had for my X5, i thought i liked them until i got 20" style 87s.

Enjoy them!

Hey Naz - I think I remember you had your old rims for sale. I liked my old rims - which now are the snow rims...but this just is so different. Ride had changed a bit and seems like the steering effort is a bit heavier.

The only thing that bothers me now is that the lug bolts have rusted and there is no black paint left.

I painted my lug bolts with Rust-oleum. It needs to be done every couple times, but it worked out pretty well!

Ecs tuning has a set of 20 lugbolt caps.

I got such a steal on them.

Here is a better photo now that I've detailed my X5.

Too small, if you're gonna stay OEM at least get 20's at a minimum.

That's funny, I was at the gym yesterday and had parked next to a woman with a stock X5 3.0 with 17's. She commented on my X5 and if liked it, etc and then asked if the wheels where OEM or what. I told her OEM 19's and she thought they were too big.

I got such a deal it was hard to pass up. $800 shipped. I like 20's but really wanted to preserve ride quality and I really do like the 19' staggered look.

Looks great. Ive got to get a set of 19s as my stock 18s are too small for my taste.

I think the staggered 19" wheels are the best size for the e53. I think they fit the wheel well perfectly.

I was just thinking about this yesterday... I thought for sure my '03 4.4 sport should have come with 19" staggered wheels (I bought it in '04, it was a lease return). However, just yesterday I was cleaning out the car file and found the original window sticker... sure enough it said 18" wheels under the Sport Package section. I guess the 4.4 sport packages started getting the 19" wheels in late model year 2003, or starting with the 2004's.
