Well.. uhh.. no. !ouch: I am embarrassed to say that both of those sets of wheels are mine. LOL

It's an interesting experience going to/from the replica 20" on two X5's. I took them off the 3.0 and put them on the 4.8. The 4.8's servotronic steering felt a little less 'assisted' and the car felt a bit heavier. Not so bad in a big ole truck. With the BMW OEM 20's on the 3.0, it felt much lighter than the old replicas. A little more 'spring' in its step if you will.

It will be even MORE interesting as I put the stock 18's back on to the 3.0. NOt only will it look like a sedate lil sport ute it once did, it will probably feel like an entirely different car.

Nice job! Painter's tape on the trim: good OCD, imo!

They are staggered. They're the OE 4.8is wheels. I don't think I'll sell. The 20" replicas I bought a couple years ago appear to be in short or non-existent supply. I'd rather hang on to these OE 20's in case something dramatic happens to the replicas.

looks great! must be located in NJ! hope to see you at some of the meets.

i thought that the 19s wouldnt look good on the 4.8is, but i was proven wrong. They look really good, I would add some spacers in the rear, but thats all!

enjoy the color, it makes me drool

Well, thanks for the compliments, but the refinsihed wheels are actually 20's! ;) They're 20" replicas of the 19" 5 spoke from the 4.4. I always liked the look, but wanted 20's. I ordered them some time ago for my 3.0. I am not from New Jersey, but I did buy a Bimmer from there- Ten years ago, my 2000 E39 540 came from Desimone BMW in Marlton.

I have never considered spacers. I would like to see some pics of the difference. One thing I don't think that I would like but that it makes sense that they would result in even MORE prevalent understeer. Can you or anyone comment on the actual increased/decreased performance results from spacers?

Wow how did I miss a request for pics!

Attached, embedded, these are the only pics I can find from my old car club site. More to come if I magically lose laziness at home...
