Removing Nearside Rear Fender 3.0D

Hi,

Need to replace one of the rear fenders due to scraping it against a bollard. I can see that it is fastened on with some kind of clip. Can someone enlighten me on how these are removed please.

Thanks in advance

When I did mine I had to remove the rear bumper... There isnt another way as you have to "push" the clips down to hold the flare in place. It will take longer to remove the bumper etc, then it is to clip it. Hope this helps, goodluck

Hi,

Its the plastic trim that goes over the rear wheel arch. I cant see how the bumper would need to be removed...

You dont need to remove the bumper!
The wheelarch trim is fixed by plastic rivets. They actually rivet in,just like normal rivets, except you dont need to drill them out.Just tap out the rivet.
You will need to buy some more rivet clips and use a rivet gun ,afterwards, to re-install.

Forgot to tell you!You will find that the lower rivet, you wont be able to rivet a new one due to lack of space,so to avoid removing the rear wheel and keep it simple, just use a normal push-in clip ,which looks just like a normal rivet one, anyway:)
