Oil Separator hoses
 

I've got a '01 4.4 with 60k. Couple of months ago I had rough ideling with the SES light blinking. Checked this awesome site and narrowed it down to 3 possibilites, CCV, oil seperator or one of the coils. Turns out, through the error codes that I had a misfire on 8 and it was the coil, the self diagnosis really impressed my independent mechanic, I really learn a lot form this site. while I was reasearching the rough idle issue I saw a post about 2 hoses that are in the rear of the motor by the firewall, some one called it the oil seperator hoses, his were split and he showed pics of it with a parts diagram of it. I can't seem to find it now, going in for yearly inspection sticker and would like to tell my mechanic to check those hoses. Any help
