Quick request for all new and old members
 

Hey all,

Just wanted to say to those that haven't listed their X's year and engine in their signatures, please reference that information when starting new threads so that nobody has to guess. It's rather important so that you get the right information for the problems you are describing. Thanks to everybody for their contributions and knowledge. This site has saved many of us money we didn't need to spend and for that I am grateful.

And for bonus points, reference the engine code in the post itself (if engine related post) to facilitate searches. I'll often try engine code to narrow searches down.

M54 = I6 (3.0)

M57 = 3.0d(?)

M62 = V8 through 2003.

N62 = V8 2004-06.

S63 = don't you wish.

In addition to vehicle model, it is very helpful if posters have their correct location in their profile. X5World, Planet Earth, Here, and similar tags don't help much. Models available differ from location to location, and local weather matters as well.

AGREED!!! and news flash people! Know one is going to stalk, steal, or otherwise disrupt your life! I also get the vibe that people don't like to show there face in pics they post. Idk, maybe I'm nieve, but really? Could you amagen how difficult it would be to track some one down.... Dude lives in NYC and he has brown hair..... Hahahahahahahahah
