SERVICE ENGINE SOON light came on!

Team. Engine service light turned on this morning. I wasn't even roguh riding her. Just had her serviced, bout two months ago. There are still 5 service bars left. How can I find out without going to the shop first? Got any ideas?

Only way to find out is to put an OBDII code reader on and find out what codes the vehicle is throwing. If you don't have a code reader, stop in at a Pep Boys (or many other major shops) and they should give you a free listing of the codes your vehicle is reporting.

any symptoms???

Thanks for the replies. No, I don't have the code reader but I will check with AutoZone if they can run the code readings soon. About symptoms, I don't notice anything. It's smooth and gas mileage average around 16.8 - 17.0. No hesitation or any loud sounds either...

I thought you sold your X5.

I know. I'm gonna have to wait for the scanner. Romeo, no, I couldn't part with it. She's like an eye candy for me. Weasel asked me the same thing.
