Noobie here~easiest sirius changover

Sold my S500 and went to the 2002 4.6.
i have read you can possibly swap out the cd changer for a stock BMW sirius tuner from a new model. is this fact and is it plug and play?
Or is it easier to go with a dice with their sirius module?
Also input regarding costs would be helpful.

You don't have to swap the CD changer if you want factory Sirius. I have both in my X5. You just need the correct cable to allow operation of both. I also seek information on the operation of the DICE 1500 unit with factory Sirius. I don't particularly care if I lose the CD changer with it, I just want to know if it is as good as factory Bluetooth.

If not, I'll drop the xtra $400 on factory BT over DICE.

I just installed the Dice Duo 2 weeks ago but instead of installing the Dice Sirius module I downloaded the Sirius App to my Iphone. I can now enjoy Sirius in the car, in house, or on my computer. I sound quality is good with no dropouts and you don't have to install an antenna.
