service engine soon light
 

hi everyone...the ses light finally came on full steady but the x seems to be running ok...i really dont know what is going on..i dont know if it is a coincidence or the tranny swap did something...will have to take to dealer but in the meantime what do you think...2005 4.4 with 30k miles..rob

Unfortunately, the Service Engine Soon light is a catch-all for a thousand-and-one things. It can be anything from a leaky/defective gas cap to an O2 sensor of whch we have four of them to.... You get the idea. So, either purchase a code decoder or drop a few bucks and find a reputable mechanic.
