Dice Silverline Pro

Hi everyone,

So my FM transmitter for my Ipod just went out. I was thinking to upgrade to the DICE silverline pro. I have 2006 3.0i, with a CD changer mounted in the rear.

Is this the way to go? There is someone on EBAY selling it for $145, good price?

Thanks

Honestly, I have the USAspec PA12 and I think its awesome. Really solid, charges my phone, great sound quality.

The dice pro is okay, you should be getting a dice DUO whatever you do, it's the newest one. Both units are somewhat tough to install though if your car isn't prewired for a CD changer. I'd recommend getting the DICE from Tom G. here on these boards, he's from europeanautosource.com

They have it for 169.99 I think, and he will help you with everything you need to install the dice successfully, he is a great guy. So go DUO or PA12 from USAspec, I recommend the PA12 but others like the duo. Or you could get the dice mediabridge if you want bluetooth!

EDIT: Just saw you have CD changer, in that case the installs should be relatively easy.

This is what I have and it works great. Do you have a cd changer installed? If so, I'm not sure if you could keep it as the Dice installs into the cd changer harness. Install will take you about five minutes if you don't run the wire for the iPod up thorugh the car. I would suggest just leaving an iPod in the
compartment with the adapter. That way won't have to pull sill strips and whatnot. It really is a good unit. Make sure you don't have DSP also because it is a different unit if you have DSP.

I sent you a pm as well about a good retailer who has the Dice units.

Silly Question, why would i need the bluetooth feature...doesn't the DUO allow you to transmit the songs through your vehicles speakers?

Thanks

If you have an iPhone, you can listen to music and make/receive calls through bluetooth pairing.

I currently have a Blackberry which I use to pair with the bluetooth if my truck.

If get the DUO and listening to music and i have my BB paired with my bluetooth...the calls wont go through? It will just keep playing the music?

thanks

Not sure as I don't have the unit.

Ask Tom though, he should be able to tell you.

With the silver line, I know that it will switch to Bluetooth when a call comes in. when the call is over it will switch back to music. Pretty seamless integration.
