On my batterycover it says Webasto T70 and below that CE 0678

Found a sticker under the actual battery, T90.

Not sure, but that one could might get feedback from the receiver unit.
The T70 will indicate that the heater is running when the ON button is pressed even if switched on while not in range...

How can i change over to heating mode? I only got Aux ventilation, but the Webasto park heater is in the hood.

Don't think you can activate the NAV heating option but you can set up a wireless transmitter to turn on AUX heating. Have a search in the forums over at x5drivers.co.uk lots of people have done it there.

The parking heater is a really great option - I haven't needed any deicer this winter :)

I have the option of setting the time at which the aux ventilation comes on and off in the menu screen but didnt get a remote key when I bought the car (used) Once it is set and I leave the car the red fan light blinks away and when I come out in the morning I can hear the motor running but it never seems to produce heat even when its freezing outside. Does this mean that it is only a basic set up that only circulates the air and doesn't heat it or do you guys think there is a fault. Its a 2004 3.0d sport

Not sure, but could it be that your auxilary heater is only activated when it's below a certain temperature and the engine is running?
Otherwise it would take quite a while to get a nice temperature inside.
Think the (hardware) difference between having the auxilary heater option or not is the presence of an electric waterpump which is required to circulate the water when the engine is not running.

the factory aux ventilation is not a heating system, it's a cooling system if i recall correctly. It simply circulates air. When a vehicle is off, there's nowhere to draw heat from as the engine is not producing friction/heat

what I do: I bougth Webasto telestart T91 and Webasto print plate placed on top of auxlary heater and plug all in, and it works, I can use the remote control and Webasto heater heat the cooling water but do not start the heaters motor, so cooling water is hot and heater blow hot air after start, that nice at cold mornings in Iceland.
