Help 4.6 or 4.8 owners
2 Attachment(s)
Please help trying to find any info on these 2 rear seat connectors.
I have the male end but I need thefemale end. If your 4.6 or 4.8 has rear heated seats please lift the rear seat up and grab any info you can off the female end of the connector... My parts guy cant find it.:dunno: I'm about to hit some junkyards up when weather gets better. Attached pics to show what I need. Thanks |
Just to clarify. You have the original connectors lying underneath the seats that are affixed to the vehicle wiring harness, but no connector coming from the seat cushion that would attach to it... (or is it the other way around?)
|
that is correct gixxerboy63.. I do not have the connector coming from the cushion..that is what I consider the female end.
there is a 5 pin connector and a 2 pin i dont have the ends comming from the cushion. |

you the Poop (edited):bow::bow: gixxerboy63:bow::bow::bow: taking this info to parts man tommorow and googling them parts now...
|
FYI every single X5 has heated rear seats. Not just the "IS" models.
|
Uhmm maybe I dont understand your post Jordo... But If every single x5 has rear heated seats then I wouldn't be asking for the part number for the female connector end. I know on the 3.0 and possibly the 4.4 heated rear seats are not default installed, its and optional addon package.
I do know most 4.6 and 4.8 X's i seen have the option already installed ...It was part of the comfort or cold weather climate package if I can remember correctly. If your 4.4 has it then I am so sorry for not including the 4.4 in my post title. I have NA 3.0 06 and it doesnt have the female end ... Because I dont have rear heated seats....YET...wip |

If you find the connectors, send me a PM, maybe we can work out a way of buying a couple connectors off you. My local dealer seems a bit retarded and somewhat aloof when it comes to part searches. Went through this exercise with limited success. |
well good news and bad news.. just got to love those german engineers.. So the part is not even listed for an x5.. them engineers purged it from documentation and gave it a new number.. But after 1 hour we found the part... Oh yeah that was the good news.. now the bad news..
