2002 X5 won't start, taill lights and dash stay on????
 

Hey Everyone,

So tonight get home turn off the car get out and use key fob to lock the car. The lock doesn't work and then i notice that the tail lights are still on, weird? I try again no luck, get back in and decide to try and start the car and it won't start. So now the car is out in the driveway with the tail lights on and dash/nav on can't start it and and can't lock it.

Any ideas?

Try disconnecting your battery for 13 seconds, reconnect , take out for drive around block then park and shut off. see what happens. Dash lights will go off once you start driving it. give it a try

I have heard that if the key switch starts to fail, you get weird symptoms like this. Search "bad key switch".
