very rare "M" package

Found this ad on Craigslist. This is not a 4.6is is a 3.0.

I am selling my 2003 BMW X5 with a very rare "M" package. The "M" package was only on a few of these cars and new cost almost $90,000. The "M" package has the full body factory ground effects, sport suspension, better brakes, and factory 20" wheels and tires. The car got a new motor put in by the dealer at 82,000 under warrantee, because of a bad radiator caused the motor to over heat. Just before the warrantee was up the car got a new dealer installed transmission at 98,000 miles. The car is in excellent condition inside and out, and runs beautiful. I have just put in a little over $7,800 for servicing the car, not including the new tires. The car is fully loaded, and has the wood trim package. (This car was the top of the line when it was new) The car has 150,000 miles on it now, and it's all Freeway (It gets 25mpg). I am asking $12,500 for the car, if interested please call me at (818) 802-7374.

Thanks

Wow - so wrong on so many levels.

First of all, 4.6is was not offered in that color.
Second of all, you won't get 25mpg in any E53 let alone a 4.6is

My 2003 4.6is with all the options available was $75K new - they claim $90K which is a complete fabrication, no way you could option up a E53 that high.

But it is curious that it seems to have the 4.6is bodywork and wheels.

Not that a 4.6is is an //M - it isn't, although the steering wheel is marked as such so maybe that is what they are going from. Do all sport package cars get the //M wheel? I know that is true in most other BMW's such as the E46 I had previously and the E38 I have now.

aren't the wheels style 132's that are 19's?

jiigan 05-29-2011 10:57 PM

Yes they are, I had the same exact wheels that I just changed yesterday. ;)
