1. In order for anyone to help you will have to let us know what motor you have? We know its an X5, we'll assume thats why you're here, and not asking the question on a GT-R forum.

2. This is where you will find everything you need for your motor: RealOEM.com Online BMW Parts Catalog

3.The following finding is based on my '01 4.4.... For me it would be #4, part no. 66216902182. But this will be different for you as it states this only goes to 02/2002 RealOEM.com * BMW E53 X5 4.4i Park Distance Control (PDC)

4. As for the ebay item(s) check on realoem and cross reference the part no's by asking the seller if they are compatible.

5. If you use the 'Search this forum' facility in the 'X5 Forum' which is located at the top of the thread list on the RHS, and (as a suggestion) type in 'front PDC', you will find a plethora of threads/posts on the subject.

Good luck, welcome to the forum, and let us know how you get on.

Not sure about the center ones, but I've got a bad outer front driver's side. Haven't had the time to replace it because the entire bumper cover has to come off to replace, not a 15 min job. So I just yanked the PDC fuse because I got tired of hearing the constant "braaaap" every time I put the X5 in reverse. One of these days I may actually find a spare 3 hours to do this repair.

Hmmm, yes it would appear that you are indeed 'new to this', but don't worry we were all new to this 'interweb-forum-whoodgamaflip-stuff' at some point... ;)

When you say '353' I believe you mean 'E53', which is BMW's own nomenclature on their model series'.

I imagine PDC sensors are the same for the year regardless of motor (engine) size/type, but you will need to know this for other things, be it on here when asking questions (it would help us to help you, so mention it when asking), or when you want to use REALOEM. By the way REALOEM is an absolute goldmine IMO, its extremely useful for part numbers/prices etc.

As well as the 'search this forum' facility you will see at the top of the page 'Articles', and 'How to's' for various models. Have a browse through them and you will see that this site is an absolute goldmine too, with huge amounts of real-world information from many enthusiastic, very knowledgeable, and immensely helpful owners the world over.

Just pull up a chair, get comfortable and prepare to be overwhelmed with all the great info here!! :D

Again, good luck.

:D Funny, because my rears are playing up and I'm getting the continuous "braaaap" as you put it, so I was thinking about pulling the fuse too!! ;)

Not to mention you saying that reminded me of a time at work once when a really OCD geezer overheard one bloke say to another 'my engine warning light came on the other day', and the other bloke replied, 'just take the bulb out then', just taking the p*ss, but the OCD bloke thought he was serious and went completely berserk, ranting and raving. Sooooo funny!

BMW E39 E53 E60 E61 E83 X5 M5 PDC PARKING SENSORS NEW | eBay UK

Glad to hear that you manage to sort it fow now...I hope it keeps good.
To your question about the Ebay seller,I havent used him but he has sold 8 PDcs and no one gave him negative feedback on these,so one assumes he is credible seller. The part number you need is in fact one on his listing ,the 6989069,if you ever need to get a middle pdc.The side ones are obviously a different number,6989068.
Welcome to the Forum and hope you like here .
All the best.
