Fidelity vs. Warranty Direct?
Looking to buy a warranty, just noticed that these are the two most talked about, and I wanted to know if anyone can give me some good input on the good/bad of each and what the top coverage of both companies actually covers.
1. Looking to be able to take the car to the stealer for any problems. 2. How much mech and electrical is covered? 3. I know dealers offer Fidelity, but do they offer WD? 4. Stories? 5. Who covers more and is more trustworthy. |
I have purchased 2 policies/contracts w/WD (for my E53 then 2007 E70). Make sure you read the contracts before signing. So far, WD has been good to pay on claims. Make sure the policy says that they will replace w/OEM parts only!!!
WD pays my mechanic directly (I take the car to an Indy shop after the main warranty expires), whereas BMW dealership wants you to pay first, then you have to get WD to reimburse you. |
I had Fidelity and they were paying the BMW dealer directly, no reimbursement.

I sent vehicle info to both Fidelity & Wd this morning on a 2006 x5 3.0 70,000 miles
Fidelity 4 yr for $2700 Wd 3 yr for $4500 I'll have to review what is covered but both stated this was their best coverage fyi, Rich |

I would go to the shop you want to use and ask them which to get. I'm sure they would tell you who pays out and covers the most.

Deductibles were the same.
after googling I find many more complaints related to Fidelity and I like the suggestion about discussing with the service people I use. |
