Aftermarket SAT NAV integration?
 

Hi,
Does anyone know if there is an after market sat nav system that will integrate with the factory installed peripherals?
I have a 2001 E53 and it has the factory fit 4:3 boardmonitor and want to upgrade it but don't want the hassle of wiring in a new gps antenna, microphone etc.

i also have the 2001 e53 x5 v8 with cassette/radio ,and looking to upgrade as the boss
(wife :stickpoke) all day is telling me ,no cd! only radio...
so i need to figure this out,
i know there are few nice units and cheap too,all in one,look at this one only 200$ here,,
now,i dont know if will it fit,and also my bimmer has wheel steering controls,so i think we need some module in between the unit and steering wheel..

anyway will keep researching ,if you find some info post here and i will do the same..so we can resolve this,and make it work.

ok,i will,
and i think i did before ,,and i dont know,but i have to find out if right now i have the stock radio/cassette is it possible to put a 7'' gps deck...
